This is the Ordinal Markup Wiki, which is a Unified Community Platform (UCP) wiki. On this Wiki you can find all sorts of information about the game known as Ordinal Markup, and its features. We are a small community with 2 active editors currently editing 47 pages at a total of 4,472 edits so far. You can start by giving us a little bit of help by contributing to one of the pages below, and that would be greatly appreciated!

About Ordinal Markup

Ordinal Markup is a unique, transfinite incremental web-based video game developed by Patcail, EditorThingy and Redfire75369. What makes it unique is its application of Ordinal Numbers. The goal of Ordinal Markup is to make an Ordinal grow bigger and bigger and has 3 Prestige Layers as of the moment. For the Ordinal, it uses the Hardy Hierarchy to display Ordinals smaller than ε0, then also using the Buchholz and Madore psi (ψ) functions to display Ordinals larger than ε0.

The Terminology used in Ordinal Markup and this Wiki is displayed here.

As of 4 January 2021, Ordinal Markup will no longer receive development in a long time, as the developers are focusing on other games, such as Time Layers.

For now, the game is current rewritten (not an April Fool Joke), the wiki link will stay as current one, the rewritten currently balance up to first Factor Boost.

Location

Ordinal Markup is free to play. It is located at https://patcailmemer.github.io/Ordinal-Markup. Additionally, the source code (the JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets files) is located at https://github.com/PatcailMemer/Ordinal-Markup.

What we have to Offer

Pages

We have 47 pages that cover different topics and features in Ordinal Markup. The main pages are listed above using the {{Navigation}} template. We group pages into 4 different tiers:

  1. Stubs (2)
  2. Normal Pages (39)
  3. Pages that need Polishing (5)
  4. High-Quality Pages (1)
  • Stubs are new pages which lack info and need a lot of work. These are the lowest tier of pages, at Tier 1.
  • Normal Pages won't have any Notice template on them. They hold decent quality with sufficient info. Formatting is not taken into account here. These are Tier 2 pages.
  • Pages that need Polishing are typically candidates for High-Quality pages with a lot of relevant info, but their formatting and/or style still needs work. These are Tier 3 pages.
  • And finally, High-Quality Pages are pretty self-explanatory. They stand out among all the other pages, polished and full of information. These pages will be protected so that only Autoconfirmed Users (users with accounts and owning them for a few days) can edit them. These are the highest tier of pages, at Tier 4.
