Manifolds are a recurring feature in Ordinal Markup. There are two types of Manifolds; the regular Manifolds, which come in the Factor Boosts stage, and Dark Manifolds, which come mid-game.

Types of Manifolds[]

(Regular) Manifolds[]

These Manifolds are a feature that is unlocked by buying the Booster Upgrade that extends Incrementy. Manifolds increase the effectiveness of Dynamic Factor, boosting both its output and cap. Manifolds are gained after resetting your Incrementy, which can only be done once your Incrementy Multiplier is higher than the Incrementy Multiplier requirements for getting a Manifold, and is capped of 398 if you are not in the incrementyverse.

The required Incrementy Multiplier of Manifolds is calculated using the formula , where represents the amount of Manifolds you currently own. This formula decreases to if you own the Incrementy upgrade that reduces Manifold cost scaling. In other words, the total formula is , where represents the amount of Manifolds you currently own, is 1 if you have the Incrementy Upgrade that reduces Manifold cost scaling, and is 1 if you are in the Incrementyverse and 0 otherwise.

Manifolds' boost to Dynamic Factor is calculated with the formula , where is the current amount of Manifolds you currently own, is the effectiveness of Manifolds and is Manifold effectiveness exponent.

While in the Incrementyverse, your Manifolds will automatically be sacrificed to Singularity levels.

Dark Manifolds[]

Dark Manifolds are a late-game feature unlocked as soon as you you unlock Darkness, as they are associated with it. Dark Manifolds, unlike regular Manifolds, are less powerful. They only boost Dynamic Factor Cap rather than both its Output and Cap. They cost an amount of Decrementy to gain a Dark Manifold instead of the Incrementy Multiplier. They start by costing 3 Decrementy and this cost multiplies by 3 for every Dark Manifold you have, so you can essentially gain Dark Manifolds linearly. Due to this, Dark Manifolds are significantly easier to collect than Manifolds, so the Formula for their boost is dramatically nerfed, as it is only , where is the number of Dark Manifolds you have. Note that Decrementy is in Challenge 8.

Trivia[]

  • There's an SF upgrade which unlocks after Incrementyverse that Manifolds boost Singularity levels instead of Dynamic Factor Cap, but its detail is not shown.
  • Manifolds are used to upgrade the Singularity, and you can downgrade the Singularity to gain back a Manifold. 10 Singularity levels from Manifolds are optimal to achieve Level 20 Singularity.
    • In addition to this, Dark Manifolds are also used to upgrade the Singularity. Its cost multiplies by 5 and it starts at 1.000e6, but you cannot gain back Dark Manifolds by downgrading the Singularity.
  • From v0.3 to v0.31, when Incrementy was converted from a regular number value to an ExpantaNum value, the Incrementy multiplier requirements for Manifolds were slightly lower than intended, which was around 10x less Incrementy.
    • Between v0.34 and v0.341, the above happens again, but this time it is 1.2x lower Incrementy multiplier than intended, due to the 1.2x buff to the Incrementy Multiplier but the Manifold requirement is still the same as before.
