The Fractal Engine is a mechanic that was implemented in the v0.4 Update. It is unlocked during the Incrementyverse by having IV4.
Cost[]
Base Cost: , where is the Level of that Fractal Engine, is Fractal Base and is Fractal Shifts.
Functions[]
(may not accelerate)
For every second, it will produce Automation Charge (pre-140: x, after 140: 140(x/140)^0.1, where x is engine level 1s you currently own, base speed).
For every time when you have more than or equal to , your Fractal Level will be increased to your Incrementy amount and other lower Fractal Levels will become 10{i}[Incrementy].
Fractal Upgrades[]
There are five Fractal Upgrades, they unlock when you buy IV6. As expected, they all cost Incrementy.
Upgrade | Description | Base Cost (Incrementy) | Cost scaling (Hyper Operator) | Note |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Lubricate the Fractal Engine and double the speed! | 10{2}10 | 1 | Could refer to lubricating real machines to increase effiency. |
2 | Energy Orb effectiveness grows 20% faster | 10{3}10 | 2 | |
3 | Energy Orb base multiplier +0.3 | 10{5}10 | 3 | |
4 | Discount the first 3 fractal upgrades by 1 arrow | 10{10}10 | 5 | It might be mean Hyper Operator |
5 | Gain a free Fractal Shift | 10{20}10 | 10 | Not Implemented yet |
Also there is a message that says: "The first three fractal upgrades reset upon Fractal Shifts, while the last two don't.", which is true.
Trivia[]
- For some reason after you get a new Fractal Engine Level, the Incrementy doesn't increase until your highest Fractal Engine Level have enough Automation Charge.
- Prior to November 2020, the Fractal Upgrade Message is saying "The first free fractal upgrades reset upon Fractal Shifts, while the last two don't.", but this is very wrong.
- This means that the 1st Fractal Upgrade is free and resets upon Fractal Shifts, but the wording of the description is confusing to most. This was completely a typo problem. (What are the 2nd and 3rd upgrades?)
- Prior to November 2020, even if Fractal Shifts can reduce the base, the base Fractal Engine cost is still using fl+1(100,000), regardless of your Fractal Base.
