Max Factor Values

The highest possible Factor values achievable in Ordinal Markup before you complete OC2. You have to be in Challenge 3, have the u33 and u11 Booster Upgrades and have all your Factors maxed.

Factors are upgradable values that are unlocked one-by-one by performing a Factor Shift. They are located in the Factors sub-tab of the Markup tab. They are upgradable with Ordinal Points, and you can only have up to seven of them per run (outside of Challenges). Factors boost the power of Tier 1 Automation, and loosely Tier 2 Automation through Challenge rewards.

Factors are lost upon performing a Factor Shift, Factor Boost or any succeeding Prestige Mechanics. They are also lost upon refunding Boosters.

Upgrading Factors[]

Factors can be upgraded through spending Ordinal Points (OP), Markup's main Currency. Each Factor requires an exponentially higher amount of Ordinal Points to upgrade.

Factors Cost
Factor Initial Cost (OP) Cost Scaling (xy) Maximum Bought
1 10 2 9[1]
2 100 2 8[1]
3 1000 2 7[1]
4 10000 3 4[1]
5 100000 3 4[1]
6 1.000e6 6 3[1]
7 1.000e7 30 2[1]

Because each additional Factor increases in OP cost, there are only a limited amount of times a Factor can be upgraded. Once a Factor would reach over 1.000e257 Ordinal Points, the contents of the Factor will change to Maxed! and can no longer be upgraded.

Usage[]

Factors boost the power of Tier 1 Automation. Every time a Factor is upgraded, its multiplier to Tier 1 Automation increases by 1 (at base). This effect can be increased through buying specific Booster Upgrades and completing Challenges.

The total Factor Multiplier is , where means products ( is mean let variable is i, from 1 to N, every time multiply by i, aka i factorial or i!), is your Factor Shifts, is your Factor i bought times, u33 and OC1 mean 1 if you have this upgrade/in this Challenge, and 0 otherwise, C3 and u11 mean OC2 completions + 1 if you have this upgrade/in this Challenge and not in OC2, and 0 otherwise.

A table has been provided to show max possible Factor values in multiple situations, such as during certain Challenges.

! Note: Only some Challenges are featured in this table since only some Challenges affect Factors.

With this, Challenge Multipliers also let Factors boost Tier 2 Automation. This multiplier is based on the Factor, and how many times you've completed the Challenge.

Challenge Effects[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 If you are in Challenges 2 or 7, it will be 0 instead.
  2. If you are in Challenge 3 or 7, you will get more Free Factors from u33.

Trivia[]

According the doc for OM rewritten, when you buy a factor, the cost will be squared, regardless the factors.
