Factor Boosts are the 2nd Prestige Layer and the 3rd Prestige Mechanic in Ordinal Markup. It is usable once the player reaches, at the minimum, gψ(ΩΩ) (10) Ordinal Points.

Successfully performing a Factor Boost resets everything up until that point, including Factor Shifts. With this, it rewards you with Boosters, which can be spent on Booster Upgrades or saved for later use or for a boost to Tier 2 Automation from the u22 Booster Upgrade. The determined amount of Boosters you have is shown using the Formula , where signifies how many Factor Boosts you have performed in the Collapse. Factor Boosting resets everything up until that point, resetting everything that Factor Shifting resets, and Factor Shifts themselves.

FB1 is initially disguised as FS8 in the Markup tab, requiring gψ(ΩΩω) (10) OP to perform. When it is performed, you will unlock the Boosters tab permanently. Post-Collapse at FB1, it is no longer disguised, and now costs gψ(ΩΩ) (10) OP. Every Factor Boost afterwards will not be disguised, and require an exponentially larger Ordinal/OP amount to perform. The succeeding Factor Boost will typically take 3x as much time as the previous one, but it can take 9x longer, 27x longer, or even up to 243x longer.

Performing a Factor Boost[]

In order to perform a Factor Boost, the player must reach gψ(ΩΩω) (10) Ordinal Points, as said before. The gameplay can change depending on your progression. In the first few runs, you will have to alternate clicking the Markup button and the Max All buttons for Autoclickers in the Markup tab in order to raise your Ordinal and OP any further.

Once the Markup and Max All Autobuyers are bought, this process will become automatic. OP multipliers do not apply to Ordinal Points after reaching ψ(Ω).

Bulk Factor Boosting[]

Bulk Boosting is a useful feature in Ordinal Markup. Once you have performed FB1 the first time ever, you will unlock this feature. With this feature, you are able to perform many Factor Boosts at once, if you have enough OP value. This feature becomes even more useful post-Collapse, where you will progress through Factor Boosts quickly.

When these criteria are met:

  • Auto Max All active[1]
  • Complete SM12 (as it unlock Autoprestigers)
  • Auto Shift on
  • Auto Boost on
  • Without u23 (as it will always set base to 5 after Factor Boost once)
  • Not in any Normal Challenges (It was in Factor Boosts tier, include Omega Challenge 1)

You can passive produce factor boosts, based on your Tier 1, 2 and 3 automation speed, passive OP production and Factor Boosts multiplier, etc...

Factor Boosts per Second[]

When you reach the Singularity and can gain a small amount of FB/s, you will find that there's a quote in the Markup tab that displays You should be getting a total of [x] Factor Boost(s) per second. That means you have reached an ℵ2 rate to more than enough that you barely can see the OP changing! The formula of the FB/s is about, where is your Tier 2 Automation clicks per second, is your current ℵ2 power, is your Singularity level, represents 1.4 if you've bought SFU72, and 1 otherwise, and is your current completions of Omega Challenge 4.

Factor Boost Costs[]

Tips for Factor Boosts[]

Focus on the Booster Upgrades that boost Tier 2 Automation. The best setup is u223, which includes u22, u11 (which benefits Challenge Multipliers which boosts Tier 2 Automation), u12 and u13 (for enabling Tier 2), u32 and u12 (for automatic OP gain), and u33 (which also benefits Challenge Multipliers). Prioritize u11, u22 and u33 over the rest of the Booster Upgrades, as they (indirectly) boost Tier 2 Automation.

Trivia[]

  • The Singularity raises the requirement for Factor Boosts 25 or more, but allows you to get multiple of them at once, even before FB25.
  • The Hotkey for this is B.
  1. This introduce in v0.32, at this time, auto Max All isn't even required, which allow you to producing Factor Boosts without having Factor Boosts, fortunately now it was fixed.
  2. Prior to Collapsing, this is instead FS8.
  3. If the Singularity is unlocked, then this value would be the stated requirement shown in the Singularity sub-tab of the Collapse tab.
