Booster Upgrades are a game mechanic that is unlocked after performing a Factor Boost. Performing a Factor Boost rewards you with Boosters, which are used to purchase upgrades in the Booster Upgrades subtab of the Boosters tab. Booster Upgrades provide boosts which help in day-to-day progression, unlock new Features, provide buffs to Tiers 1 and 2 Automation, as well as providing miscellaneous buffs that are used to provide boosts in Challenges, which already change the game in some way to make it harder.

You unlock more Booster Upgrades when you achieve SM1.

Upgrade Table[]

Upgrade list
Column 1
Row Abbreviation: Upgrade Cost (Boosters) Note
1 u11: Each Factor is twice as powerful 1 The effect is boosted based on Omega Challenge 2 completions. It will do nothing if you are in Omega Challenge 2.

Except in extremely rare cases, this upgrade should be bought after a Factor Boost or collapse once

2 u12: Gain 5x as much OP 5 The cost used to be 10, in order to balance Challenge 1x1.

It is useful in almost every Challenge 1-7 run (except in Challenge 2, and especially in Challenge 1 and 7, as without them, it will take extremely long to reach the Factor Shift requirement or 1e6 Ordinal Points, whichever is earlier)

In a normal run, it can reduce Autoclicker grinding time

3 u13: The base is reduced by 4 if it's over 7. Buying this resets your ordinal. 72 Due to an exploit found, the "Reset the Ordinal" part of the upgrade is just to prevent an exploit (maximum 1e36 OoM more Decrementy from ω^ω3 (when you buy this upgrade at base 8 and your Ordinal is ω^ω3))

Also for some reason, it formerly displayed 73 boosts instead of 72, before the bug was fixed.

However, this upgrade is useful for Challenges 3 and 5 or after getting the 8e8 Booster upgrade (since it can reduce FS1 and 2 grinding).

4 u14: In odd numbered challenges, Dynamic Factor is squared 53 This only has an effect if you are in Challenge 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9.

Useful for Challenges 3x3, 5x2, 5x3 and 9.

5 (former) u15: You can enter Challenges past 3 completions 5e15 This upgrade was removed, since it is deprecated once Baseless Milestones are unlocked.
Column 2
Row Abbreviation: Upgrade Cost (Boosters) Note
1 u21: Unlock autoclicker for maxing all 1 You can get this once you Factor Boost once or twice after a Collapse, but after SM20, you can get them without Factor Boosts at all.
2 u22: Boosters boost Tier 1 and 2 automation by xX 4 The effect is 10+9*b^0.5 with less than or equal to 243 boosters, 10+b^0.9 without SM12 and >243 boosters, and max(10+9*b^0.5,10+b^0.9) with SM12.

This should be bought after Factor Boost 4 (except in special cases where there are not enough boosters.)

3 u23: The base is always 5 below ψ(Ω) 73 Due to an exploit found, the "Reset the Ordinal" part of the upgrade is just to prevent an exploit (maximum 4e45 OoM more Decrementy from ω^ω3 (when you buy this upgrade at base 15 and your Ordinal is ω^ω3))

However, due to it possible to go further than ψ(Ω) in base 5, "below ψ(Ω)" is added to fix post psi in base 5 bug. NEVER get this upgrade in a normal run, since it can't make ordinal go past ψ(Ω).

This Upgrade is useful for Challenge 4, 6, and 7.

4 u24: Dynamic decreases 1.00e299 times slower 74 Only has an effect if you are in Challenge 6 or 7, and are extremely useful there (otherwise, you will have less than a planck length of time to autoclick, rather than 10 seconds before requiring a Markup.)
Column 3
Row Abbreviation: Upgrade Cost (Boosters) Note
1 u31: Unlock Markup autoclicker 1 You can get it after Factor Boost 2, but it becomes useless after obtaining Sluggish Milestone ∞ once (automatically obtained after the first Collapse)
2 u32: Gain 20 OP per second 8 (formerly 9) The cost used to be 9 Boosters, in order to balance Challenge 1x1.

The effect is boosted if you have u12 and/or are in Challenge 1 or 7.

Prior to SM15, it is very useful for Challenge 1 and 7 (without it, they would be nearly impossible to complete)

However, in a normal run, it can allow you to buy Autoclickers without any manual clicks.

3 u33: You gain 3 free factors each 16 The effect is boosted if you are in Challenge 3 or 7, but not in Omega Challenge 2.

After Factor Boost 8, in almost all cases, this upgrade should be bought

4 u34: Markup gives 666666x OP if the base is less than 6 66 Useful for Challenges 4x3, 5x2, and 5x3 once you have at least 1/666666 of the required OP, and 6x3, 7x2 and 7x3 before you enter the Challenge.
5 u35: The above upgrade also applies to passive OP gain 8e8 Make Factor Boosts faster (mainly Factor Shifts 5 to 7)

Possible with 40,000 Factor Boosts

6 u36: Base 6 is now base 5 2e19 Make Factor Boosts faster (mainly Factor Shift 4)

Possible with 6,324,555,320 Factor Boosts

Column 4
Row Abbreviation: Upgrade Require Note
1 u41: Unlock Challenges 12 Boosters The cost used to be 20 boosters, changed to reduce timewalls.
2 u42: Unlock Incrementy 36 Boosters Incrementy boosts Tier 2 automation.
3 u43: Extend Incrementy 108 Boosters and 7 Challenge completions Unlocks Manifolds.
4 u44: Unlock the next layer 324 Boosters and 22 Challenge completions The requirement used to be 23 Challenge completions.
5 u45: Unlock Singularity 1e11 Boosters and 33 Challenge completions The requirement used to be 5e11 Boosters, and then 2e11, before reaching the cost it is now.

Possible with 447,214 Factor Boosts

6 u46: Unlock Omega Challenges 1e21 Boosters and 37 Challenge completions Possible with 44,721,359,550 Factor Boosts

Notes:

Abbreviating Booster Upgrades[]

In this Wiki, Booster Upgrades are commonly abbreviated. Booster Upgrades are referred to by their coordinate position in the table formatted as ; for example, the upgrade to unlock Incrementy can be represented as u42, as it exists within the 2nd row of the 4th column.

Otherwise, they can be referred to through their effects; e.g, the Booster Upgrade that unlocks Incrementy, or through their description; e.g, the "Unlock Incrementy" Booster Upgrade.

Trivia[]

  • u12, u23, u32 and u34 have no effect on gameplay after reaching an Ordinal of ψ(Ω).
  • u23 takes precedence over u13. This is because u13 only affects the Base when it would be normally over 7. u23 sets the Base to 5, which is less than 8, which is why it does. Therefore if both are owned, the Base will always be set to 5.
  • u14 and u24 were solely designed for Challenges, as they don't provide any benefit during normal gameplay. Along with this, u34, u35, u36 and u13, even though they serve no purpose post-ψ(Ω); not contributing to boosting Tier 2 Automation, they can benefit pre-ψ(Ω) in normal gameplay.
  • If you get u23 before reaching ψ(Ω) normally, it is virtually impossible to reach an Ordinal of ψ(Ω). This is due to the fact that it would require an Ordinal of ωωωωω (Base 5), which you simply cannot reach because the game.ord variable would reach its limit way before you would theoretically reach ψ(Ω), and that the power of Autoclickers needed to get there are astronomically large.
  • u22 is buffed by the current amount of Boosters you own. Boosters that are allocated towards the upgrade will not buff u22 for simple reasons. The overall effect of u22 is also buffed with the 12 Factor Boost Sluggish Milestone.
  • u32 is buffed in Challenges 1 and 7 if you have u12.
  • u33 is buffed in Challenges 3 and 7, providing more the amount of free Factors obtained from this Booster Upgrade.
  • Except for the 1st row of Booster Upgrades other than u41, all costs/requirements are different (4, 5*, 8, 12, 16, 36, 53*, 66, 72*, 73, 74, 108, 324, 8e8, 1e11, 2e19, 1e21) except having 1.0000-1.0857, 1.1920-1.2197, 1.4004-2.1154, 2.2261 or more OC3 completions (* means it can be reduced by having OC3 completions)
  • After you have enough OC3 completion, u12, u13 and u14 cost will say 1 Boosters instead of 1 Booster
  • In OC1, it is impossible to get u35 (and therefore u36, since you need a total of ~80,000,000 Omega Challenge completions, so this is not even possible), but in OC5 it may be possible (but very difficult, since it takes 3h but Factor Boosts is only increased by 74, it requires ~40,000 Factor Boosts, taking around 66d 16h, or over 2 months) to get u35, but u36 remains impossible (for now, it will take around 28,860 years).
  • In terms of refunding Booster Upgrades, the Hotkey is R.
