BHO

Overview

The Bachmann-Howard Ordinal, BHO for short, and notated as H_BHO (3) in your Ordinal and g_BHO (10) in OP, is the maximum Ordinal/OP obtainable pre-Singularity. It is essentially a marking point for the end of the Factor Boosts stage, and the start of the next Prestige Layer, Collapse. An Ordinal of H_BHO (3) is required to Collapse, requiring you to either reach BHO or achieve at least 25 Factor Boosts. Factor Boosts 25 and up require an Ordinal of BHO, meaning that BHO is a significant Ordinal in the early Collapse stage.

Value

BHO is achieved when you reach the Ordinal ψ(Ω^ΩΩ) in Base 3. It is actually equal to ψ(ε_Ω+1), revealed later on in the Singularity stage. g_BHO (10) Ordinal Points are required for Factor Boosts 25 and higher, and after that point, it becomes the largest amount of OP you need to Factor Boost.

After reaching BHO, your Ordinal cannot be increased further until you unlock Singularity, currently making BHO the largest obtainable Ordinal before unlocking Singularity. This also limits your Ordinal Points to g_BHO (10).

Trivia

• Having g_BHO (10) OP or higher will not allow you to purchase anything that requires Infinity OP.
• You cannot bulk boost if the next Factor Boost requires BHO or more.
• game.reachedBHO determines whether or not the player has ever reached BHO before.
